Dear Daughter

I’m the voice behind the words around here. I’m married to my first love and mama to three. We live in a small town on the West Coast of South Africa.

This space is a treasury of sorts, gradually being filled with all the lessons I want my daughter to learn in life. A place for her daughters to turn to in the future, for guidance, instruction and inspiration. A source of comfort and wisdom for generations to come.

“Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good,and so train the young women to love their husbands and children,to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled. “Titus 2:3, ESV

With God’s word in mind I want to pen down thoughts about marriage, motherhood, homemaking and how to become a woman after God’s own heart. Christ is all to me. Every lesson I want to teach my daughter, and future daughters-in-law to my beloved boys,I have learned by His wisdom and Word. And making lots of mistakes along the way. I am so grateful for all the ways God’s Word has guided me in the last twenty years of being His beloved daughter. After 15 years of marriage, 11 years of motherhood and an ever-increasing number of grey hairs,I hope to store up sóme of the lessons I have learned and continue to learn.
